… Prof Asuni, Abdulkareem, Arriyady To Deliver Lectures

A foremost religious organisation, Misbaudeen Islamic Centre, MIC, is set to hold the 13th edition of its yearly pre-Ramadan lecture on Sunday, 23rd of February, 2025, (24 Sha’aban, 1446AH) at Jubril Martins Memorial High School, Humuani Street, off Oniwaya Road, behind Misbaudeen Islamic Centre, Iloro-Agege, Lagos.
There’s also going to be free medical screening as usual on Sunday 16th of February, 2025 at Misbaudeen Islamic Centre, starting by 10am.
The Ramadan lecture scheduled to start by 10am under the chairmanship of Hon. Muslim Folami, former Commissioner for Local Governments and Community Affairs, promises to be quite educative and enlightening.

According to the Chief Host and Managing Director, Silver Feeds Limited, Alhaji Musbaudeen Bolarinwa, the free medical screening would be carried out to ascertain the fitness and health status of everyone in preparation for the glorious month of Ramadan.
He therefore urged people to use the opportunity to do their medical check up before the commencement of Ramadan fast.
Prof. Olayinka Kudus Amuni of the Department of Foreign Languages, Lagos State University, will deliver the first lecture titled; “Challenges of Leadership and Followership In a Depressed Society: Islamic Perspectives”.
The second lecture titled; “Women In Islam, Contemporary Challenges and Empowerment Through Faith” will be delivered by Ustadh Salahudeen Munirdeen Arriyady of Department of Foreign Languages, LASUED
while Prof. Fatimah Biade Abdkareem of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, will speak on; “The Spiritual and Health Benefits of Ramadan”.
Alhaji Bolarinwa also urged Muslims to take advantage of the event to prepare themselves spiritually, emotionally, physically and healthwise for the coming Ramadan.

According to him, the theme has been carefully chosen in view of the developments in our society.
“The Pre-Ramadan lecture is to remind and guide us on the significance of the holy month.
As well as to prepare us towards having an acceptable fasting experience during the glorious month in line with the dictates of the Qur’an and the Sunnah of our noble Prophet Muhammed (SAW).” Alhaji Bolarinwa concluded.
